Four scholarships of $250 each will be awarded annually to residents in Northern Colorado.
Scholarships will be awarded at the NCARC picnic in September.
Applicants must hold a current FCC Amateur Radio license and be enrolled in K through 12 or home schooled and a resident of Northern Colorado. (max age of 18 years old) at time of final submission.
Submission Deadline:
August 1, 2025, with required documentation.
Determination Criteria includes but not limited too:
- Obtaining different FCC license levels (Technician, General, Extra).
- Participation in any club UHF/VHF net.
- Attending a club meeting or special event.
- Assisting with a club events such as:
- Rosin Corps
- Testing Session
- Club Picnic
- HF in the Park
- Field Day
- Ham Fest
- Participating in SOTA (Summits on the Air) or POTA (Parks on the Air).
- Involvement in HF contests or special events.
- Assisting with the Elmer program.
- Be assisted by an Elmer
- Help with communication for a foot or bicycle race
- Net control for the following.
- Foot or Bicycle Race
- A Club or ARES net
