Hamfest 2025 Volunteer Page

Yes, Your help is needed!  Volunteers are critical to the success of the Hamfest.   The more who help, the lighter the load!

If you have already signed up to help, THANK YOU.   If you are considering volunteering but are not sure, please read on.   There are several positions where we need help. We hope to have enough help that we can rotate help throughout the event and allow all to enjoy the fun.  Feel free to sign-up for more than one shift!  Volunteering is a great way to meet people and often have a place to get off your feet!

Volunteers in 2025 will be offered $4.00 admission.

2)   Send an email to the volunteer coordinator HERE. Please provide your name, email address, phone number, preferred positions and times

If you are hesitant to commit now, send us a note, and we will put you on the ‘maybe’ list.  When your schedule firms up, let us know.  We may reach out to you as we get closer to the event.  If you can come and want to help but did not sign up, look for the volunteer coordinator at the Hamfest for last-minute needs.

    • Record the event, and submit material to the Webmaster and Newsletter editor
    • Any content submitted to the club will be considered property of the club to be used for club purposes.

General Information:

  1. The Hamfest will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Larimer County Fairgrounds.
  2. Doors will open at 7 am for vendors and 8:00 am for the general public.
  3. The facility is large, so everybody needs to have a handheld radio to facilitate communication among ourselves when required. We will be using a simplex frequency of: 147.510. We will use tactical call signs consisting of your call suffix. Please remember to correctly ID when necessary as required. If you don’t have an HT, don’t hesitate to contact Joe, who will arrange to loan you one.
  4. We have a Safety Officer onsite during the event (Joe Hawley). Please let him know if you have any safety concerns to report.
  5. Make sure that you’re an ambassador of NCARC at all times.
  6. Make sure to have fun! Volunteering should only be one or two hours of the day.
